Melisa Karasu is a certified sound therapist who will be guiding you on a deeply therapeutic sonic journey. All that is required of you is that you lie down & be cocooned in this nourishing & multi-sensory experience, which includes a welcoming herbal tea infusion on arrival, grounding meditation, immersive sound bath with various instruments & tools and an individual oracle card pull, all in a safe & nurturing space.
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a submersion in sound, overtones & the use of therapeutic instruments. Relax & unwind as you are guided on a vibrational journey, immersed in the healing frequencies of Himalayan Singing Bowls, Quartz Crystal Bowls, tuning forks, drums, rattles & chimes, that will enable you to slow down & truly receive in mind, body & spirit.
Sound has been used as a healing medium in various cultures since the ancient times, with the common intention to create flow & release resistance. The sounds from these tools & instruments produce powerful tones that resonate & vibrate through every cell of the body, activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which is our bodies’ natural rest & digest state. The frequencies slow down the brainwaves, taking you to a dreamlike & meditative state, to a place of stillness: simply being. Sound baths are an ideal alternative for those who struggle with a traditional meditation structure.
Sound baths can stimulate the body’s natural healing responses. Benefits include: deep relaxation, cell rejuvenation, regulation of the nervous system, energetic shifts & release, balance & alignment, stress & anxiety relief, inner peace, increased energy flow, improved sleep & mood, deeper level of clarity and self-awareness & a boosted immune system.

The therapeutic benefits of sound are accessible to anyone. However, there are certain conditions & circumstances that sound therapy is unsuitable for, as outlined below:
A sound bath is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy due to the delicate nature of this period
Conditions such as Epilepsy (or history of seizures) and Ménière disease are sound sensitive & therefore may be triggered by sound and vibration
Metal implants, pins & screws may be affected by the vibrations; and electronic devices e.g. pacemaker or hearing aid may also be affected
A sound bath can induce an altered state of consciousness, which requires a level of mental stability in order to ensure safety. Therefore anyone with severe psychiatric symptoms e.g. suicidal, psychosis, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or paranoia are not recommended to partake in a sound bath
A sound bath may not be suitable for those with severe heart conditions, high or abnormal blood pressure, or a history of aneurisms
A sound bath may not be suitable if you are on heavy medication or have had recent surgery

About Marko Zigon:
Marko Zigon has been connected to Sound since 1993. Trained in classical music (Trombone & Percussion) in 1997 he formed a band and performed more than 500 live shows - recording 2 studio albums.
Bachelor in Acoustics since 2006 (Seaport noise reduction case study) he parallelly graduated at the Australian School for Audio Engineering (SAE Institute) the same year. It was around that time, he experienced Sound Therapy for the first time and immediately sensed a deep connection to it.
After completing more than 15 international trainings and personal tuitions by leading experts in the field: In Germany, UK, Japan, USA, Italy, Russia, France, Poland, and Nepal he developed a proper frequency assessment test in order to deliver optimal results while empowering individuals through sound. Marko has personally experienced a variety of marginal treatments: from shamans in Mongolia to neuro-scientists in California and a lot in between.
Relentlessly evolving and focusing on delivering the best experience Marko has gathered so far an impressive collection of sonic tools (which include more than 140 singing bowls, 160+ tuning forks and 15 different gongs) among many other rare instruments he is sharing the passion during his regularly 60+ international trainings held in: UAE, Germany, Italy, Nepal, Bahrain, England, USA, Hong Kong and Japan. WHAT WILL I LEARN?
This course is perhaps the most all-encompassing available on the market as it includes all the crucial aspects (not only one ex. Himalayan singing bowls training) but rather an "integral" 360 degrees’ approach. No previous experience is necessary.
At the end you’ll receive an internationally accredited certificate of completion (IPHM & ISTA). There will be a lot of practical exercises: each participant will have the option to be a "giver" and "receiver" thus resulting in a better understanding of the subject and confidence to start facilitating sessions immediately.
There are 3 levels to this course: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. The training is based on strong theoretic foundation to give the participant a full picture of the properties of sound, protocols and methodologies in 1-1 private sessions as well as different approaches to Group Sound Meditations - Sound Baths. In the practical part, Tuning fork, Glass (crystal) and Himalayan Metal Bowls as well as Gongs will be featured among other sound tools and instruments in different settings and scenarios.
There are no pre-requisites to join except an open-mind and heart, willing curiosity and notebook!

As the winter solstice arrives, we will join together to honour the longest night and darkest day of the year. At the winter solstice we enter into the peak of darkness. The Sun stands still for a moment, before the wheel of the year gently turns back towards the light - bringing new hope, new life and new possibilities.
At this time of year we are offered the powerful opportunity to consider our relationship with trust and the darkness. During moments of hardship and darkness in our own lives, it can be very difficult to trust that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Yet we must remember that although we are in the depths of winter and darkness at this time, it is actually a mark of the beginning of the return to the light.
We will work with deepening our trust in the natural cycles of life, choosing faith that the light will return. We will gather together to welcome in a surrender into the darkness, remembering that it is in this void of darkness, where new life and new creation is born.
This is a powerful time to create resolutions for the new year, and to simply celebrate being alive. It will be a deeply nourishing and restorative evening filled with reflection & gratitude.

As the winter solstice arrives, we will join together to honour the longest night and darkest day of the year. At the winter solstice we enter into the peak of darkness. The Sun stands still for a moment, before the wheel of the year gently turns back towards the light - bringing new hope, new life and new possibilities.
At this time of year we are offered the powerful opportunity to consider our relationship with trust and the darkness. During moments of hardship and darkness in our own lives, it can be very difficult to trust that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Yet we must remember that although we are in the depths of winter and darkness at this time, it is actually a mark of the beginning of the return to the light.
We will work with deepening our trust in the natural cycles of life, choosing faith that the light will return. We will gather together to welcome in a surrender into the darkness, remembering that it is in this void of darkness, where new life and new creation is born.
This is a powerful time to create resolutions for the new year, and to simply celebrate being alive. It will be a deeply nourishing and restorative evening filled with reflection & gratitude.

CIRCLE THEMES:
Sunday 11th September: Harnessing the power of September’s Full Moon in Watery Pisces. The theme of this circle will be about clarity: dissolving the illusions created in the mind, working through any limiting beliefs you hold about yourself & your dreams.
Sunday 9th October: Harnessing the power of October’s Full Moon in Fiery Aries. The theme of this circle will be about boundaries & self-love: truly knowing yourself & being your own best friend, breaking through barriers & building assertiveness, strength & resilience.
Sunday 6th November: Harnessing the power of November’s Full Moon in Earthy Taurus. The theme of this circle will be about rebirth & transformation: letting go with grace & cutting cords with all that no longer serves you.
Sunday 11th December: Harnessing the power of December’s Full Moon in Airy Gemini. The theme of this circle will be about celebration & wisdom: activating our power with word spells, reflecting on the past year and visioning for the year ahead.
